This year I had the honor of studying and creating the pendant for the 1023rd Foire de Saint-Ours.

The pendant, which has always represented an object of the Aosta Valley's artisanal tradition, reproduces a miniature butter mold.

~ Wood made into art ~

Following its grain

The artistic objects created are the result of meticulous craftsmanship, starting from a single block of fine wood.

It is the territory that provides the raw material, nature creates the wood giving it color, fragrance, and precious grain, always different, almost as if to contain the very fiber of the wood itself.

And it is precisely the grain that dresses the finished product, grain that is highlighted by a careful polishing with hot-applied beeswax.
No paints or solvents are used; the millenary Valdostan tradition of woodworking must be respected.
Among the essences used, alongside almond, pear, maple, and cherry, local Valdostan walnut is preferred.
